Craig Chapman

While new to the FCA, Craig brings his faith and background as a life-long athlete, devoted father, and business strategist to his new role on the Board of Directors.

Raised in a Catholic family and growing up in Richmond, Virginia playing baseball for a perennial competitor in the Little League World Series, sports, teamwork, family, and faith have been an integral part of his life. Evolving from multi-sport player to coach, Craig has brought his competitiveness to mentoring his sons, their teams, and to his clients in business techology and Government contracting.

Over more than twenty-five years of sales and sales strategy experience with companies of all sizes spent growing and developing relationships with their audiences through innovative technologies and technology services. Through it all, the foundation of his work remains in offering a determined problem-solving approach to building long-term business relationships while living with integrity, credibility, and a desire to be helpful. It’s those traits that influenced his founding of Gap Strategies Group LLC where big challenges meet the expertise, resources, and problem-solving comradery of senior former federal executives wanting to share their knowledge with client executives in both Government and Industry.

A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University in Business & Risk Management, Craig married Lauren Filar from Monroeville, PA in 1998 and subsequently had sons Jason and Eric, both athletes at Riverside High School in Leesburg, VA. Lauren’s strong Catholic upbringing in her large Polish family has been a strength and factor in Craig’s decision to support the FCA.
